After more than a decade with the same packaging language, Mohpie approached us at a moment where familiarity was no longer enough. The phone accessory space had become increasingly saturated, with brands converging around similar visual tropes. The challenge was not to follow that shift, but to clearly stand apart from it. The refresh needed to signal a more contemporary Mohpie while retaining the equity of an established mark, avoiding the temptation to mimic what major competitors were already doing.

Rather than overhauling the identity, we focused on recalibrating it. The logo remained intact, but the system around it evolved. Products were brought front and center, treated as the primary communicator of value, while the rest of the packaging was rethought to elevate perception and improve clarity. Structure, hierarchy, and restraint became key tools in making complex products feel intuitive and premium.

We began with the 3-in-1 charger, chosen both for its technical complexity and because it represented Mohpie’s latest innovation. Designing this first allowed us to establish a flexible foundation, one capable of scaling across chargers, power banks, and future product categories without losing coherence.

With ZAGG’s screen protector packaging, the opportunity lay in focus rather than expansion. Operating within a single product category meant every box competed directly on shelf, often against a landscape dominated by white, black, and understated color systems. This created room to be more decisive. The refresh was designed to clearly own visual territory, using packaging as a brand signal rather than a neutral container.

Because the system existed solely as boxes, there was freedom to lead with color. A striking red gradient was introduced as a core brand asset, giving ZAGG an immediately recognizable presence while maintaining clarity and restraint. Product information and compatibility remained front and center, supported by a simplified hierarchy that allowed the packaging to feel bold without becoming noisy, and distinctive without relying on trends.
